MacOS Unified log

by Igor Mikhaylov2018-03-22

Apple is the market leader. It has brought one of the most fundamental changes since the first public beta of Mac OS X in September 2016. This article provides an overview of the unified registration system in the Sierra and the High Sierra.

Previously, the logs in OS X were quite vanilla Unix-style text files that were easily accessible using the integrated journal browser console and a number of third-party tools and contained all the usual entries. Apple replaced this traditional text system with the Unix text protocol with its new unified magazine in September 2016.

This article can be found with a series of free browser browsers and other tools that, I believe, combine the power of the log-in with a much more accessible user interface.
